Privacy Policy for site visitors

This Privacy Policy aims to describe the management of the site currently available at industrialdesignlab.com, with reference to the processing of personal data of users/visitors who consult it. This information is also provided pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/03 - Code for the protection of personal data - to those who connect to the site. The information is provided by Industrial Design Lab srl (hereinafter, "Industrial Design Lab") only for the above-mentioned website and not for other websites or sections/pages/spaces owned by third parties, since the information must be provided by the latter. Industrial Design Lab guarantees compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data (Legislative Decree 196/03). Users/visitors must read this Privacy Policy carefully before submitting any personal information and/or filling in any electronic form on the website. If users/visitors are required, in order to access certain services, to provide their personal data, a specific and detailed informative note on the relative processing pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/03 will be issued in advance on the pages relating to the individual services, specifying the limits, purposes and methods of the processing itself.

Type of data processed and purpose of processing

1) Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this site automatically acquire, during normal operation, some personal data that are then transmitted implicitly in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that by its nature could, through association and processing with data held by third parties, allow the identification of users/visitors (e.g. IP address, domain names of computers used by users/visitors connecting to the site, etc.). These data are used only to obtain statistical information (so they are anonymous) and to check the correct functioning of the site. They are deleted immediately after processing. The data on web contacts are not stored, however, for more than seven days except in case of investigation of computer crimes against the site. No data deriving from the web service will be communicated or disseminated, except for the purpose of fulfilling the obligations imposed by laws, regulations or Community legislation.

2) Data provided voluntarily by users/visitors

If users/visitors connecting to this website send their personal data in order to access certain services, or to make requests via e-mail, this data will be acquired by Industrial Design Lab and/or third parties with whom Industrial Design Lab may provide the service requested by the user/visitor; such data will be processed exclusively to respond to the request, or to provide the service in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the specific Privacy Policy provided when subscribing to individual services. The personal data expressly provided by the users/visitors will be communicated to third parties only in the event that such communication is necessary to comply with the requests of the users/visitors themselves, without prejudice to the provisions of the specific Informative Notes of the individual services.

3) Cookies

This site uses cookies or markers, which are technically packets of information sent by a web server to the visitor's/user's Internet browser and automatically stored by the latter on the personal computer. Therefore, for complete enjoyment of this site, we recommend that you configure your browser to accept the reception of cookies. We inform you that by default almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. Visitors/users can however modify the default configuration, which with Internet Explorer version 6.0, is the medium one, and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently), by setting, in the "Privacy" tab (which can be reached by selecting, from the "Tools" menu, the "Internet Options" item) the "Highest" protection level or delete (or eliminate) cookies from the personal computer, by selecting, again from the "Internet Options" item in the "Tools" menu, the "General" tab and clicking on the "Delete cookies" button. As specified above, however, disabling or deleting cookies may preclude the optimal use of some areas of the site or compromise the use of services under authentication. If users/visitors want to decide from time to time whether or not to accept cookies, they can also configure their browser to generate a warning each time a cookie is saved. The cookies used in this site are both persistent (i.e. they are stored, until they expire, on the hard drive of the user/visitor's personal computer) and session cookies (i.e. they are not stored permanently on the user/visitor's computer and disappear when the browser is closed). Persistent cookies are used only to facilitate navigation within the site and its proper use, to facilitate access to services that require authentication (avoiding that users must reenter authentication credentials each time they access the services), for optimal management of advertising space, and for statistical purposes, to know which areas of the site have been visited. Session cookies are used for the sole purpose of transmitting the session identifiers necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site. The session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other computer techniques that could potentially compromise the privacy of the users/visitors and are also used to improve the provision of services. In addition, the cookies may be owned by the site (used, for example, to know the number of pages visited on the site) or third parties (or generated by other sites to deliver content on the site you are visiting). Most popular browsers provide the possibility to block only third party cookies, accepting only those of the site. In addition, some companies that generate cookies on third party sites, offer the possibility to deactivate and/or inhibit in a simple and immediate way only their own cookies, even when these are anonymous, or do not involve the registration of personal identification data (such as, for example, the IP address).

Processing modalities

The processing is carried out using automated tools (e.g. using electronic procedures and media) and/or manually for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data were collected and, in any case, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Optional provision of data

Apart from that specified for navigation data, users/visitors are free to provide their personal data. Failure to provide such data may only result in the impossibility of obtaining what has been requested.
